HANNAH JANE LEWIS
Although born in England, Hannah spent her formative years in the US where she studied music at NYU. During this time she began writing and recording her own songs, and on her return to the UK she recorded the material that made up her debut EP which was released in September 2016.
Lead track ‘Why Start A War’ went Top 5 on Hype Machine and picked up rave reviews from Pop Justice, LOBF, Clash and Indie Shuffle amongst others. She then signed both management and label deals and released debut single ‘Raincheck’, as well as subsequent tracks ‘Aftershock’ and ‘Frozen Frames’ via Polydor Records – all of which have been picking up great support from Spotify, Radio One and a whole host of blogs. After a Summer of playing shows with the likes of Jess Glynne, Shawn Mendes and Rita Ora, Hannah’s latest singles ‘Do It Without You’ and ‘Last Night Every Night’ were both featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in the UK, the latter also appearing on the US list too.
